It’s early December: Where should I be in the visa process?

Visa required for entry:

Students who are required to obtain a visa prior to entry into Argentina will receive an email from OGS and NYU Buenos Aires with their entry permit in the next few weeks. Upon receiving this permit, students are encouraged to make an appointment with the Consulate General of Argentina to apply for the visa. Please contact Meredith Hansen at the Office of Global Services if you have any questions about your visa process – meredith.hansen@nyu.edu; 212-998-4157.

Visa not required for entry:

Students who are not required to obtain a visa prior to entry into Argentina will be receiving an email from OGS containing two support letters in the coming weeks. These letters will indicate to the airline and border control that you are attending NYU Buenos Aires and will obtain your visa upon arrival.

Citizens of Canada and Australia are required to pay the reciprocity fee. US citizens are currently exempt from this fee. Information about the reciprocity fee can be found here. Once you pay the fee, you must send your receipt (with your name and passport number on it) to ogs.outbound@nyu.edu. If you have any questions about this process, please contact Meredith Hansen in the Office of Global Services – meredith.hansen@nyu.edu; 212-998-4157.
